My story started on a volleyball court.
In university, I discovered strength training and was instantly hooked. I loved how lifting made me feel—strong, capable, and confident. It wasn’t about appearance. It was about realizing what my body could do.
That passion shaped my life. I went on to compete in bodybuilding, became a Canadian Champion in 1997, and learned the value of discipline, balance, and consistency—principles that still guide how I train today.

After leaving my sales career to raise my kids, I wanted work that made a real impact. Helping others feel the strength and confidence I had found through training felt like the natural next step.
So, over 25 years ago, I founded Straight to Fit Total Personal Fitness.
Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of women rediscover what their bodies are capable of—improving strength, mobility, and balance while building lasting confidence.
Today, I work with women 40+ in Burlington, Oakville, and beyond, offering both in-studio and virtual programs designed to help them stay strong, mobile, and injury-free.
I’ve seen what happens when women reach midlife and suddenly feel like their bodies are changing faster than they can keep up. They’re busy, often caring for others, but rarely taking time for themselves.
The truth is, it’s not too late. You can feel strong, steady, and confident again—with the right plan, structure, and support.
At Straight to Fit, I make fitness simple and sustainable so you can:
Stay active and independent as you age
Build strength that supports every part of life
Feel energized and capable in your body again

I believe that lean muscle and strength are the foundation of healthy longevity.
I believe fitness should fit into your life, not take it over.
I believe every woman deserves to feel capable, and full of life-at every age
At 57, I still live the same lifestyle I teach: strength training, movement, balance, and recovery. It’s how I stay strong, active, and ready for whatever life brings next.
If you’re ready to take that step too, I’d love to help you get there.
